Christmas Survery '07

I was tagged (again) to do this Christmas survey. Before I do that I'll give an update on the house. We had the inspection done today and the inspector said that the house was "cleaner" and more well-kept than a new home (our house was built in '95). The roof is in perfect shape, no wood destroying insects were around or apparent, all appliances were in great working order, no water damage, no electrical problems, etc. There were a few things to be replace, only to get the house up to the 2007 code...we had an adendum drawn up, signed it and are checked off that if they agree to this then we're final on the sale...and the house will be OFFICIALLY OURS!!! More pics coming soon.

1. What kind of tree do you have?
We have only the 'right' kind of tree...Artificial!!!

2. What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Elf, Christmas Story, and Polar Express.

3. What is your favorite Christmas holiday food?
Sausage Balls, Candy Canes, and Holiday Peanut M&Ms

4. Do you use wrapping paper or gift bags?
Neither...I use whatever is handy that will get the job done;)...typically its the store's gift wrapping people.

5. Do you have a nativity scene in your house?
Growing up I did...but not currently.

6. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Oh Holy Night

7. What is the most memorable gift you received as a child?
He Man's Castle Gray Skull

8. What was the worst gift you ever received?
probably some lame stocking stuffer

9. Most annoying thing about this time of year?
That everywhere I lived it's 80 degrees during December...I mean, c'mon! Where's the snow???

10. Favorite thing about this time of year?
Time off to be with family, and friends...well, my new favorite thing is being with the Bro-man.

I know tag ALL of my blog-stalkers!!! You know who you are.

New House

Ok, so many people have called, emailed, etc. to see a pic of the new house and this is the only one I have! Enjoy:

The house is about 15 miles from the church building in a great neighborhood. It's 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open living and dinning area, dine-in kitchen, moderate front and back yards. The Master has a separate shower and tub, GIANT walk-in closet, plus a double-vanity, we also have a separate laundry room and an attached two car garage. It really is a nice house with plenty of room for us to grow into...that and we got a great price on it. All of our AZ friends would choke if they found out!

The neighborhood has a fishing lake, play grounds, the outlet mall is about a mile away, great restaurants, new schools, and less than a mile from the freeways. Sooo, I think we did pretty good for first-time home buyers. I guess Neena and I are offically adults now: we've bought our own car, house, and have had a baby...I gotta say...I wish I was a Toys 'R' Us Kid.

Runnin' & Gunnin'

So it's been some time since my last post...I'm not going to appologize for that, my time has been split between new family and new ministry. My routine that I've stuck with since my late teens has been all but destroyed in the past two months. I really enjoy routine and it's been difficult for me to adjust, but adjusting I am!

So what's been going on with me? Well the family is doing VERY WELL! Brodee has blown past 12 pounds and is a little over 2 feet tall. Everyday he's changing! So when I get home from work it's fun to hang out with him and see what's new. Neena is also doing well...all post-partum checks have been great and she has been and continues to be an excellent mother. Brodee could not be more blessed. Church stuff has been incredibly busy, but we're having a ton of fun. It's amazing to see so many people that are committed to loving on teenagers, no matter what. It's taking some time to learn the new systems that this church uses, but I'm getting a lot of positive feedback and the teens seem to be responding well to the change.

The newest thing is: We're buying a HOUSE!!! It's in Round Rock...a suburb of Austin, and the house is 15 miles from the building. The house is 1750 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dine-in kitchen, separate dinning room, and fireplace in the living room. The neighborhood is more than we could ask for, with parks, a lake, great schools, and seemingly great neighbors. Plus, with freeways close (I-35 & MOPAC) I can make it to and from church in under 15 minutes. So, we're excited. We've just begun the offer process, so we're waiting to hear back from the sellers. So PRAY!! that this is a great house, with great neighbors, and is a place where we can make a great home and are able to be Christ to all around us.

In other news (with pics), Brodee is 2 months old today!! So enjoy the new pics.
