Prayers are Welcomed

This is my son, his name is Brodee Kade...He has/is Jaundiced. His Billirubin count is 17, out of 30. The doctors ordered a "billilite" blanket for him today that he has to be in for 24 hours/day until our doctor appointment on Monday. I'm asking you to pray, FERVENTLY, for my son...and for his mom and dad. Neena and I are trying so hard to remain strong and saine...but it just seems like one thing after another. We've cried a lot today and prayed even more and we're asking for the blogging/friend communities help in petitioning God to make our son's Jaundice go away...FOREVER!

So, please pray...as often as you can for little Bordee Boy and his Jaundice. He's also trying to get adjusted to being outside the womb, i.e. his bowel movements and losing weight...so make sure God knows that we care about Brodee and want him to be well. Thank you!

Oh, I remember the scary feeling of seeing your brand new baby turn a yucky yellow color. All of my kids did, but pulled through ok after a few days.

And about the crying and "seems like one thing after another", well... welcome to parenthood!

We'll keep praying for all three of you to feel God's presence every moment.

Congratulations on a beautiful baby boy!

We just had our baby two weeks ago. Her level was 13. She stayed in the lights for 24 hours. It was very heartbreaking to put her under when she was crying. Once her milk comes in (if she is breastfeeding)it will help push out the yucky stuff in her system. It will get better. We are praying for you.

Joshua, God has blessed you and Nina with a sweet beautiful baby boy. My heart is so full of excitement and joy for the two of you. It seems only yesterday that you and Chris were this little. Now look at you, a Daddy! Joshua, little Brodee is a strong Johnson boy and he'll be ok. I know how hard it is to be a parent and see your baby, your child, ill and the ache in your heart that won't stop until he's well again. I don't know if you know it but I almost lost Kyle, like your family lost Sarah. It was gut wrenching but with God's Grace Kyle survived and is now back in school. Joshua I know you may think, so what in the world does that have to do with my little guy? I'm just trying to explain that God will be with you, Nina and Brodee and see you through this bump in the road. But he is also using this as an opportunity for you to reach out. Hon, reach out to the one person other than your wife, that you trust the most, the one that is educated in the medical field and could tell you, in your terms, what to expect from his illness and his recovery. Hon, God has opened this window for you to reach out and trust someone who knows the joy of having a beautiful baby boy as well as seeing that child sick. Joshua, you may think this is none of my business but I have to say something because even though I haven't seen you for so very long, I love you sweetie and it hurts me to know there is a wound that needs to heal between you and your folks. Joshua, everyday this continues, the enemy wins! Anyone who encourages you to shut them out of your life is speaking against God and is being used as Satan's vessel through which hurt, hate, and evil feelings continue to grow. Joshua, I can only see this birth as a blessing ordained by God. A blessing you and Nina could use to,inturn, bless others. Share this sweet boy and find a way back into your parent's lives. Everyone will be richly blessed by following God's will and letting old hurts die. I love you Joshua, please give my love to Nina and Brodee boy! Melanie

He is absolutely beautiful!! Jeffrey was on a billi-blanket when he was first born, and now he is over 6 feet tall!! It brings back memories though... Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We can't wait to have you guys in Austin, and to get a chance to hold that precious baby.
